But ability corrupts the soul also hands, and in one case Uilleam Runehart has his sense of taste of it, at that place'due south nil he craves more. And when it comes to what he wants nigh, there is no line he won't cross to become it.
With secrets plaguing them, and truths condign harder and harder to tell, the things left unsaid between them might be their ruin.
Merciless.
Shameless.
Remorseless. How much would yous sacrifice to be on top?
From Romantic Suspense Author, London Miller, comes the second book in the Kingmaker Saga following a woman with too many skeletons and the only human capable of unraveling them.
This volume may be unsuitable for people nether 17 years of age due to its use of sexual content, drug and alcohol use, and/or violence.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Wow!
A fast paced story packed with passion and malaise. The revelations in White Rabbit – The Fall kept me on the border of my seat. This was an emotional installment in a series that is blowing me away. The message in this book is that love is precious and can't easily exist forgotten.
He was the dream she never wanted to wake upwardly from.
For two people who chose to exist estranged from their families, family was a large influence. Whether it was through memories, shared secrets or surprise visits their presence was felt. It was difficult to differentiate whether the ongoing wisdom being offered by their families' was out of genuine dear or cocky-involvement. I am withal left wondering myself. What was evident was that they were an unlikely match with an impenetrable bond and refused to be swayed past what others thought.
My feelings towards Karina'south female parent and sister throughout this story were constantly challenged. It'south an understatement that Karina and Uilleam were raised within non-traditional and complicated families. I institute the contradiction in the relationships Uilleam and Karina shared with their siblings interesting. If you have read The Wild Bunch series, you'll exist familiar with Uilleam 'southward brother Kit. Still, Karina'due south sister, Isla, is someone we are just getting to know
How much of Uilleam and Karina's crossing of paths was serendipity haunts me. I can't encounter how the coincidences weren't beingness orchestrated masterfully at a distance. With a few more books to become in the Kingmakers Saga, information technology will be interesting to run into how much outside influence played into their human relationship.
Karina's story is about to take off and I predict the affect she'll accept will be phenomenal. Fifty-fifty before she was crushed, it was equally if the plot was unfolding across suspended tiered chess boards with interchanging players. The sacrifices made to win the game have come at a hefty toll and then far simply information technology is far from checkmate. With hindsight, alternative choices would have been made.
From the moment the goad backside Karina and Uilleam 's rift was revealed, her ruthless and harsh deportment in previous books all made sense. I was left without a uncertainty as to how and why Karina was forged into the fearless woman she became. Her terminal scene was a brutal, gut wrenching statement as to how she intended to continue living.
My lack of empathy for Katrina earlier I embarked on the Kingmaker Saga has been shaken. Interestingly, it was not at the expense of my feelings towards Uilleam. If annihilation, this book has placed Karina and Uilleam on an even keel. Karina's strength and resilience placed her squarely as the one who had the ability to dethrone a king.
Karina's story is paved with secrets, obstacles and challenges that will shake the darkest hearts. The aspects I struggled with were handled well but yous would exist a difficult case to have not to shed a tear by the time you lot accomplish the final page of the volume. Interestingly, I am invested in their story, not their final outcome. That surprised me because I idea I would be squad Uilleam all the way but Karina has won a place in my centre as well. I am enjoying every moment of the Kingmaker's Saga and I can't await to read the adjacent book!
